Introduction Time: Lyndsay!

Hi, I’m Lyndsay!

Liz and I started talking about having a blog a few months ago. We wanted a blog that focuses more on having fun while playing games than getting everything right, and talking about the silly one shots that we both really enjoy. We also have Ideas About Games and Society, so this is a place for that too.

I’m a business student and I also run Dragon Chow Dice Bags, but I love to make time for games. I love learning about and trying new games, board games or tabletop roleplaying games. I have a board game collection that I really love, and I’m hoping to use this blog to try out the roleplaying games I’ve heard about but haven’t played yet.

I’m very much a newbie to running games. As of this post, I’ve run a one-shot for D&D 3.5, a one shot in Pathfinder, played Danger Patrol and a handful of games of Do: Pilgrims of The Flying Temple. I definitely want to become a better GM. I look forward to learning all kinds of new games and being a better storyteller for it.

You’ll be able to find me here or on twitter at @GeekyLyndsay!

Lyndsay is a geek who makes dice bags, loves twitter, and rides a scooter. She owns Dragon Chow Dice Bags, and when not sewing dice bags she’s attending business classes or playing games.

Welcome, Lindsay, to the ranks of RPG bloggers! I think that the dichotomy of experience levels between yourself and Liz should make for a great diversity – I find it hard to write articles aimed at beginners because I don’t fully remember what it was that puzzled me back in the early days. Most gamers don’t start blogging until they have a lot more experience under their belts, so your relative inexperience is actually a priceless asset. I wish you great success in leveraging that asset into a unique voice amongst our ranks!

Now, I’m off to drop a ‘hello’ onto Lizzie’s page…

I just found this blog and I’m enjoying the quality of your guys’ writing and ideas very much. Keep up the awesome work!

Also, I actually know you from Dragon Chow for those incredibly adorable Cutie Mark dice bags… so tempted to grab one… or six!
